General project parameters

The order comprised a tool set of 9 injection moulding tools and 17 different injection moulded parts. Mould manufacturing was carried out in China and series production in the injection moulding centre Germany.

Following approval of the injection moulded parts, the injection moulding tools were moved to Germany. Following validation on the series production machine, the tight tolerances of the fits were re-worked in Mould Construction in Germany. The injection moulding tools in these ranges were held available at the production site in China.

All chains in the production process were finely matched one to the other. The project was successfully concluded to the customer’s enormous satisfaction.

• Tool making in China.
• Manufacturing nine 1x and 1+1x injection moulding tools.
• Threaded inserts were re-injected in a number of tools
• Some tools with a very low shot weight.

Description - Injection moulded parts

• The injection moulded parts were manufactured with the PC-ABS plastics.
• Also placed with AsMoPLAST was the order to re-process the components following series production.
• Following the injection, threaded inserts were screwed in place in AsMoPLAST’s Assembly Dept.
• Thanks to the comprehensive work & services package, a wide range of manual work was performed for the customer.
