General project parameters

The order comprised a tool set of 6 injection moulding tools for a hose drum incl. initial sampling production. The moulds and their pre-series were manufactured in China. Following approval, the injection moulding tools were moved to Germany for series production.

In view of the customer’s experience with similar components, the design - and particularly the cooling - was coordinated together very precisely. To ensure 100% quality, the AsMoPLAST project team controlled and monitored the initial sample production in China. All the customer’s requirements were fulfilled and the project was successfully concluded.

• Tool making in China.
• Manufacturing of six 1x to 4x injection moulding tools.
• Challenging cooling system.
• Use of AMPCO inserts.
• Etched surface.
• Hot runner connection to the needle valve nozzle.

Description - Injection moulded parts

• The injection moulded parts were manufactured with PP and PA6 GF30 plastics.
• Also placed with AsMoPLAST was the order to re-process the components following series production.
• For this, the surfaces were scarred.
• Thanks to the comprehensive work & services package, a wide range of manual work was performed for the customer.
